Are there seeds in a single rose;that you can use to grow roses in your garden?

Yes it's called a Rose Hip and has quite a few seeds.

Finding a rose that is worthy of being grown tho is tough.

Rose gowers take years from seed to rose before they find a good one, lots are thrown away

My husband bought me a rose for mothers day 20 yrs ago. Each time I cut it back I stick each limb in the ground and water. I now have 5 rose bushess. Just luck I think.

But there arent seeds in them.
Reply:most modern rose have infertile seeds. If you have agood seed than still don't bother as it takes a long time to grow and longer still to flower and it would not be the same colour.Roses are easy to grow cut out a 8 inch stem from exsisting rose(none flowering stem) in oct/nov make a small slit in groung using spade and insert the stem into slit fill slit with soil and water.Next year it should grow and flower.(you can take alot of stems and plant in same slit.Trans plant to correct location if required in early april
Reply:not if it's a cut rose.... to form rose hips, where the seeds are, the rose must stay on the bush, the petals must fall off and then the nub at the base of the rose turns into the 'hip' and finally turnes red when the seeds are ripe..... and that's usually seen on a rose bush in winter..... a cut rose cannot form hips... it won't live that long....
