How can I appease the fairies in my garden?

My garden is large and beautiful, but they won't let me in. They drive me away with thornes from my rose plant. How can I be allowed back in my garden?

Then offer them sweets on small plates. Don't forget the tea!
Reply:Your fairies are obviously cranky, probably from lack of sleep and too much rainy weather. You need to go to your garden in the evening and pick some rather large flower petals. Poppies will do nicely for this. Lay them around the garden for the fairies to use as tiny blankets. This will keep the rain off and allow them to get a good night's sleep. After a few days your thorny issues with the fairies should dissipate somewhat and they will be glad to sprinkle their dust again.





If you have any small children in the house, enlist their help in placing the petals every night. Fireflies should light their way. My children did this every night of summer until they were five and seven. Funny, the happy memory of this alone is enough to keep the fairies in my garden happy and doing their best.

Reply:Tell them if they don't let you in, then no more milk and bread, and you'll get a backhoe and dig it all under.





You don't mind sharing, but they need to learn to live with others.





But remember, this is birthing season for the fairies - you have to promise not to touch their cute little babies in the nests - it's a lot like birds.
Reply:Perform a ritual to gain the services of the brownies in your house. Then tell them to get rid of the fairies. Then bring out the lawn chairs and beer so you can enjoy the show.
