How to get rid of ants in my garden, but not harm my plants or animals.?
Vinegar has been suggested as a potent ant repellent, not because it actually repels the ants but because it messes with their sense of smell. Vinegar's strong smell, along with the acids present in it, will dissolve and dissolute the scent trails that ants use to communicate with one another, but are also potent enough to keep ants from going anywhere near it.

Just throw some Vinegar in a spray bottle and douse those areas where the ants seem to following one another. Repeat the process a number of times and you'll start to see less ants intruding near the areas you've treated.

Reply:Buy an ant-eater. :)
Reply:Put honey on a margarine tub lid... place it in a corner and they'll flock to that area. Better yet..they'll get stuck in the honey, then carefully throw the lid away in a grocery store plastic bag..double knot..then put that bag in another..and then another.. maybe repeat 3 to 4 times... Then put out for trash..

Back Track the ants to their hideout..Find their QUEEN and KILL HER... or Put some poison at their exit..they take it back inside their ANT HILL and they'll dissappear.
Reply:pour boilin hot water into the ants hole/nest
Reply:1) sunny day

2)magnifying glass

killing is not enough, torture is required.
Reply:FOOD grade Diatomaceous Earth...
Reply:Get a pet anteater.
Reply:I live in SC and have had the same problem. I sprinkled grits (has to be the instant type) around the area. The ants ate on them, and once the grit mixed with their natural body juices, the grit expanded and so did the ants. Instant grits work faster to swell when moistened.

Good luck
