Help, my rose is dropping its leaves?
Have you seen any beetles around. Sounds like you've been invaded by Japanese beetles. They can strip a rose bare.

Well, it is not Japanese beetles then since the leaves are still there. The only other problems I can think of is either a cane borer or black spot.

Here are a couple web sites that are good for identifying rose problems. Maybe there is something you missed or have not thought to mention to us that could be the problem. I hope you find what you are looking for. Oh, and to set your mind at ease, your rose should begin to leaf out in time and will probably be just fine.

Reply:It sounds like weather conditions and possably to dry at the root.
Reply:Have you noticed any aphids[greenfly] on your roses, yhey could have caused it.
Reply:If the leaves are yellow and some brown spots here and there your rose bush has leaf miner. It's a microscopic bug that is inside the leaves. It sucks the life out of the leaves and left untreated will kill the plant. You need to give it a systemic leaf miner killer. You should be able to get some at Home Depot. Spraying the plant will not kill the Leaf miner. It has to be absorbed through the roots. Good Luck.
Reply:Its just the present weather conditions not a great year for the roses too wet.
Reply:A rose bush will start to loose leaves as early as august.Did it have black spot? You should spray roses at least once a month all through the summer. They also need granular fertilizer once a month and plenty of water at the soil line.Try not to top water the plant.Getting the leaves wet can cause mold problems.
Reply:Did you check the dilution instructions etc maybe it was toooo strong for the rose? just an idea:)
