I want to paint a room but I need help picking a color to go with the rose carpet.?

The carpet is a dusty rose color. The only color I can come up with is a light garden green...but I really don't want green walls. Any suggestions?

Depends on how much you like the rose color. You could play that up and do a pale pink tone on the walls with lots of different colors of rose and pink throughout the room.





If you want to play down the carpet I would do a few shades of creams and browns.

I love there colors but can't stand the paint, have it color matched to a Behr paint.
Reply:You could also place an area rug over the carpet. you can then accent the room with the colors on that rug. This will then give you the opportunity to use a greater span of colors that you may want to use.
Reply:well white goes with anything but i'm guessing you figured that one out. You could try a very light yellow or an off white color.
Reply:I would look at a rich beige color or a lighter shade of the dusty rose.Experiment a little.It really depends on your tastes.
Reply:well you don't want to go with anymore rose/pink shades or you will look like the pink panther. Try a taupe color.
Reply:I have seen gray walls, with black furniture and dusty rose curtains. I thought it looked good. Green is the complimentary of rose so you could put both of those colours in the curtains and pillows, if you needed another colour.

Reply:Actually the light green or sage is the complimentary color to rose. I think it would look great. However it is your house and if you want a different color then try a very very very pale yellow
