Would Bindweed kill a rose?

I have a patch of garden that has got rather overgrown and Ive just found my rose, covered in bindweed and dead.

Would Bindweed kill a rose?
I saw a rose today which was quite unattractive. I snipped it and threw it on the compost heap and it made the heap look worse!!

Bindweed can definitely kill a rose as well as many other plants.
Reply:the name suggest so bindweed is horrible to get rid u have to pull all of it up and make sure u get the root system it is a pain. best to do the old fashion way instead of waitin for weedkiller to do it then at least u know u got rid of it.
Reply:Yes isolate the bindweed then spray it with Glyphosate (roundup or equiv) but make sure it only goes on the bindweed leaf as it kills through green leaf then spray again if necessary
Reply:That rose bush is such a pest, it really is a **weed**. LOL. Are you sure it's dead? Maybe you need some more of that bindweed to really kill it. :p
Reply:Bindweed will strangle the life out of ANY other plant it wraps itself around.
Reply:it would strangle the life out of it
Reply:Yes, it would strangle it!

Honestly. You're hilarious!

Reply:well if the roses r dead then u got ur answer
