Reply:In addition to being the title of a popular song as reported by the other answerers, it was also the title of a young adult novel popular in the 70s, written by Hannah Greene.
Reply:It's a song performed by Lynne Anderson, and a book by Joanne Greenberg. The two are not related at all other than by title.
Reply:No, its a song written by Joe South and Lynn Anderson had the hit recording of it. South was one of the most prolfic songwriters of the late 1960's....wrote songs such as "The Games People Play" "Walk A Mile In My Shoes" and many others. Like many others of that period, he was from the South - Atlanta area, if I recall correctly.
Reply:No. Its an Old country song called "Rose Garden". By an Anderson, sorry but i dont know her first name.
Reply:Song sung by Lynn Anderson. My guess that if you read this song without listening to the music, you will have a poem! This is also the name of a very good book about a young girl who is drastically mentally ill. Good ending; not a happy ending, but good.
Reply:It is a song- I don't know if there is a poem, but I know that it is a country song.
Reply:Don't know about a poem, but theres certainly a country song by this name.
