I have just planted 54 rose bushes in my garden, and the wind has gone up to 10kph what must I do???

I know roses do not like windy conditions, unexpectedly, the wind in my area, HAS GONE BESERK, I live in the med,it has risen to almost gail force winds, and I have just gone into major expense with these roses....what do I do, is there any thing I can do to shield them...Please help....

Buy a roll of 4' high chicken wire at a home improvement center. Cut the wire long enough to encircle each bush like a hoop and fill in with fallen leaves or shredded news papers.





There are also a manufactured product they call "rose cones" which basically is recycled paper compressed into a dome like looking thing that covers each plant. They would be available at nursery's.

Reply:HI. FIRST YOU TIE THEM UP ALL TOGETHER. SECOND YOU COVER THEM WITH PLASTIC COVER.

Reply:cover them with a large tarp,and weigh it down with some heavy rocks or bricks to keep it from blowing away.
