I need to know if the narrator is the master (garden owner) or someone else that isn't in the story. I'm very sure it is the master, but my all-knowing english teacher says the narrator is just a voice.

"Donald Justice included “Incident in a Rose Garden” in his 1967 collection of poems, Night Light, and revised the poem for his Selected Poems, published by Atheneum, in 1979. Unlike most of Justice’s other poems, “Incident in a Rose Garden” tells a story. The three characters, the Gardener, the Master, and Death, play out a familiar scene in which Death, whom Justice describes in stereotypical fashion as adorned in black and being “thin as a scythe,” mistakes the identity of one character for another. The language is simple, yet formal, the dialogue straightforward, the theme clear: Death may come when least expected; live life with that thought in mind. Other themes addressed include the relationship of human beings to nature, self-deception, and fate versus self-creation. In its use of stock characters and situation and its obvious moral, the poem resembles a medieval allegory.
In the revised version of “Incident in a Rose Garden,” Justice moves from an objective point of view, which contains only the dialogue of the characters, to a first person point of view in which the Master relates the story. This change allows for a more detailed description of the Gardener and Death and gives the surprise ending more bite. The relationship between a consciousness of death and an appreciation of life is a theme in Wallace Stevens’s poetry, which Justice notes as a primary influence on his own writing. Justice dedicates the poem to poet Mark Strand who, like Justice, writes about the presence of death in everyday life and the ways in which the self responds to and is shaped by that presence."
"Another poem which undergoes an even greater structural modification is "Incident in a Rose Garden." The original, first published in Night Light, appeared as a strict dialogue in which three characters speak: a gardener, the master of the property, and Death. In the modified form, Justice inserted the dialogue into a fleshy sketch to supplement the bony framework of the former version. In the new narrative Death enters "dressed like a Spanish waiter," and a magnificent description of the meeting between the master and Death is appended:

Can someone help me continue the poem Incident In A Rose Garden?
Isn't that title from a Donald Justice piece? What do you mean by "continue" it? It's already done. Alas.

there is insects with my flowers i dont know what to get to get rid of them, they look like little green spiders. there are some other green bugs in there to. we live in ft worth tx so the weather is pretty hot here.

Sounds like you are describing aphids, which are parasites that suck the life out of roses. You can purchase systemic spray that will rid the roses of them at any nursery or store such as Lowe's.
Reply:Those are aphids; they're a problem in Texas. You'll need to spray for them, and you may want to put a systemic insecticide in the ground around them as well - sort of an IV medication for plants that they can take up via the roots. Calloway's Nursery there in Fort Worth should be able to help you determine what you need.
Be sure to spray early in the morning when the wind is calm and the sun is not high yet to keep from damaging your plants. My sister lives in Fort Worth, too, so I KNOW how hot it gets there.

I also heard that blue stone works too. Infuse like tea with boiling water and spray away. No more bugs

Don't spray with an oil based spray because the hot weather will cook it on the plants. If there is no natural products in your local area, Gardener's Supply ( located on the internet) is a good source. This company has lots of natural fertilizers, soil amendments, seed starting supplies, gardening tools, etc.

Anyway, identifying the type of bug isn't that important, because a systemic insecticide will get rid of them all. It's granules of fertilizer and pesticide. You toss a few capfuls at the base of each rose bush, water your roses, and celebrate the death of the little buggers. Ladybird beetles work great, but they estivate in the heat and won't help you now. Remember to get and distribute some early next spring and this will cut aphid numbers down next year.
If you have the time, knock them off and squish them by hand. Aphids are soft bodied and will dry out before they can climb back up and on. The other green bugs might be predators and waterblasting the aphids will get them too. If you're sure they're not predators and/or don't care, then blast them with water.

My own adventures in the Great Outdoors have included both of the events described above. Also, in the Great Smokey Mountains I outran a small bear one time, and I've seen huge rattlesnakes in the woods.

My friend Rachel was so kind to tell me while we were sitting at our desks. lol Damn bird! Been stung numerous times while doing yard work. I have also seen a black bear in Colorado, in my back yard. Luckily there was a fence between us because I screamed and ran (which you are not supposed to do) like a bat out of hell, must have scared him too because he ran and never saw him again. lol Looking back it was quite funny. :)

When I was in the Marine Corps, it seemed that whenever we were being inspected in our dress uniforms, the birds would come out and use us for taget practice. It often happened to others, if not me. I think them birds have something against those particular uniforms, because when we wore cammies 99.9% of the time, worked outside etc... no one ever got "poop bombed"
As far as the wasps, a few times. I was a mechanic, and often people would bring in cars that were parked for a while to be repaired. A while in some cases looked like years! A few times after spending a few hours tearing apart some major part of the car... SURPRISE!!! You are being chased off by wasps. I have been stung on the hand and arms. Too bad we couldn't charge extra for the stings!

Reply:Actaully, my cousins and I went to the beach. we were walking around when all of a sudden i felt somthing plop on my head. i felt my head and i was like eewwww there is somthing wet on my head. and than i went home cause' that's just nasty.

I go camping with grandkids as often as we can in a real wilderness area on Colorado River and see all sorts of things....we feed raccoons and possum (we know we shouldn't); marvel at fawns cavorting in trees; argue whether it is a cayman or alligator sunning itself on log, etc.
Lots of snakes, too and it was real weird to watch a hawk snatch one up from the ground not three feet away from us!!!
